I was born in February 1959 and have been married to Julia for 25 years. We have three grown up sons – Dave, Nick and Alex. I have been interested in photography for many years but it is only in last three years that I have found the time to develop this interest into a more serious past time. Aside from my family and photography interests, my other great loves in life are travelling, which conveniently, goes in hand in hand with photography! And, as an avid, if not obsessive, supporter of Chelsea Football Club for many years, I am lucky enough to have a season ticket to watch my team enjoying some success at last.

I have worked since the age of 16 in the financial services industry, working for two insurance companies before setting up my own company in 1996 - a mortgage distribution business. In March 2004, following the sale of the majority stake in the business, I set about a life change plan, which would enable me to pursue other personal interests and in particular, develop my growing interest in photography. At the beginning of 2006, I took steps to set up my own website to ‘showcase’ my work and provide me with a foundation to expand my photography interests.
